Today was the girl's fifth birthday!! Unbelievable how time flies. Sometimes it seems like just yesterday we were changing diapers, washing bottles, running to doctors and pumping, pumping, pumping.
We had a small birthday this year. Sasha got a stomach flu on Friday so we decided not to have any kids over in anticipation that the rest of us would follow. Joe got sick Saturday but Erika and I seemed to have avoided this one.
Sunday we went to Chuckie Cheese's. Some of you have had the pleasure of experiencing this kiddie restaurant (aka parent hell). Ten dollars buys a LOT of tokens... But the girls had fun so that's all that really matters!
When we got back the girls and I made Sandkuchen with the non-traditional topping of M-n-M's. This was the first time the girls cracked some eggs. Some of the egg got added to hair and clothing intead of the batter and we had to fish out a few eggshells, but the cake was yummy anyway.
At preschool today the girls shared cookies with their friends and got another Happy Birthday song. When I got back from work they opened the rest of the birthday presents and we went out for spaghetti dinner at the girl's favorite restaurant.
All's well that end's well!
